About this event

Hughes Family Tribute Center hosts an authentic Celebración del Día de Muertos on Webb Chapel Road in Dallas on selected dates, with mariachi music, Mayan dance performances, folklórico dancers, local artists, face painting and children's games, plus performances by singer Carolina Imperial. Site-specific art works and exhibits are on display, including Josh Niccolai-Belfi's Pathways of Past Lives: The Persistence of Existence. The celebration began with a crowd of fewer than 100 people and has grown every year since.

Our take: Pack a picnic: you're welcome to bring your own food, and local vendors sell food only on the final day.

Parking

Free on all days. Parking at Hughes Family Tribute Center, 9700 Webb Chapel Road, with some space inside the cemetery. No alcohol, open flames, grills or fireworks.
