About this event
The Austin County Fair in Bellville was organized in 1927 to encourage agriculture and horticulture through exhibits of livestock and farm products. It began as the Bellville Community Fair Association with five directors, soon took the county's name, kept going through World War II and now has 50 directors. Fair events include a PRCA rodeo, the Lil' Wrangler Rodeo, mutton bustin', a parade, livestock shows, a carnival and Senior Citizen's Day.
Our take: The $38 carnival armband specials on Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon are the cheapest of the week.
Good to know
Kids 5 and under free; military in uniform free, other military $5 off with ID. Cash and cards accepted at all three gates.
