About this event
A Charlie Brown Christmas 5K/10K starts and finishes at the Addicks Park and Ride off I-10 in Houston's Energy Corridor District, on a flat, fast, out-and-back course on Park Row Drive, with a Snoopy Kids Dash for children 12 and under. Every participant gets a Peanuts retro TV spinner finisher medal and a performance blend T-shirt, Santa makes an appearance, and holiday attire is encouraged. Memorial Assistance Ministries collects new toys on site for its Christmas Share program for Houston families in need.
Our take: Enter from the I-10 feeder road if you arrive after about 8, when Park and Ride Drive closes.
Parking
Ample parking at the Addicks Park and Ride (14230 Katy Fwy). Park and Ride Drive closes around 8am, after which the lot is reached only from the I-10 feeder road; extra parking off Old Katy Rd.
Good to know
Kids Dash 8am; 10K 8:15am; 5K and walkers 8:20am. Limited to the first 2,300 participants; 120-minute time limit.
