Crafty Wonderland Holiday Art + Craft Market

Crafty Wonderland's Holiday Art + Craft Market fills Hall D of the Oregon Convention Center with more than 200 booths of handmade goods from Portland and Northwest makers. Two Portland artists, Cathy and Torie, members of the craft collective Portland Super Crafty, started the juried market in 2006 so they and their friends could sell their own work, and it has grown into the largest handmade craft show in the Northwest. Held indoors twice a year, it has since spawned two Crafty Wonderland shops in Portland stocked with goods by more than 200 local artists.

Our take: The Friday night First Pick Party is worth the ticket for serious gift hunters who want the handmade goods before Saturday's timed-entry crowds.
