ZooLights at the Oregon Zoo

ZooLights at the Oregon Zoo dazzles with wildlife-inspired displays, a train route lined with dozens of life-size animal lanterns, and tunnels of glittering lights. Treats include elephant ears, hot chocolate, popcorn, and s'mores, plus beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Most animals are not on view, so the evening is built for photos and gathering. TriMet and Portland Streetcar are the transit options to the zoo.

Our take: Ride MAX one stop east from a Park and Ride such as Sunset Transit Center, and come for the lights rather than the animals, since most are not on view.
