About this event
E.Z. Orchards HarvestFest in Salem, at 5504 Hazelgreen Rd NE, is built around a scarecrow-field pumpkin patch, an Oregon-themed corn maze with farm facts, hayrides, and farm animals, plus stops such as a sensory board, musical flowers, and a spider-web net. Weekend food includes a donut truck with apple-cider donuts, Mt. Angel Sausage Company, Caballeros Tacos, and cotton candy. Pumpkins can also be bought at the gate without festival admission. Park in the gravel lot off Cordon Road, and do not park on Hazelgreen or Cordon.
Our take: Use the Cordon Road gravel lot, and on busy weekends take the Valley Inquiry shuttle, except October 17, when that overflow lot is closed.
Parking
Gravel lot via the Cordon Road entrance. Overflow and shuttle at Valley Inquiry Charter School on Oct. 10, 11, 18, 24, and 25; no shuttle Oct. 17. No roadside parking on Hazelgreen or Cordon. Pets not allowed; service animals only. No outside food on weekends.
Good to know
Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 11am-5pm during the run; open seven days a week in October. Admissions stop 30 minutes before close. Hayrides weekday afternoons and all day on weekends.
