About this event
Holiday Junction at Cincinnati Museum Center's Union Terminal is built around the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, a Cincinnati staple since they debuted downtown in 1946. Track-level views show more than 300 rail cars and 50 locomotives running through a mini metropolis, complete with cars buried in snow to their hubcaps and trees strapped to their roofs. A Northern Lights photo backdrop, an interactive storybook of the trains' history and a scavenger hunt for objects hidden in the garden railway round out the visit, and Santa receives guests by his fireplace in the Ruthven Gallery.
Our take: On select December dates, add a stop at Union Terminal's Tower A, the old command center that once guided the station's daily trains.
