About this event
The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival's Balloon Fiesta Show is timed to coincide with the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Under a big white tent at Sandia Resort & Casino, 200 juried artists and craftspeople from across the U.S. and many Native Nations sell their own fine art, glass, jewelry, pottery and textiles while balloons drift overhead in the mornings. A shaded outdoor pavilion has live music, seating and food, a Culinary Arts tent offers samples of soups, salsas, chocolate and honeys, and kids get a creation station, magic shows and face painting.
Our take: The $20 Festival Pass allows unlimited re-entry on all six days, and more than 50 artists change for the second weekend.
Parking
Turn onto Rainbow Road into Sandia Resort and follow signs to the parking garage.
Good to know
9 a.m.–5 p.m.; the final Sunday closes at 4 p.m. General admission $15, seniors 65+ $13. Service animals only.
