About this event
The Morristown Partnership kicks off the holidays with Santa's arrival at the Morristown Green, where hundreds of families gather at dusk on East Park Place. On the countdown, Santa and the crowd switch on thousands of lights across the historic park and wreaths on lampposts throughout downtown. Recent lightings have had firefighters lowering Santa by ladder bucket, carolers, an ice sculpture demonstration from 1776 Morristown, and cookies, hot chocolate and cider from the Hyatt Regency Morristown, and the Green's holiday lighting tradition dates to 1913.
Our take: Get there before sunset to claim a spot near East Park Place before the crowd fills in.
