About this event
Maplewood Dickens Village is a gift from the business community to residents and visitors, and one of the village's flagship winter traditions. Miniature houses in Ricalton Square stage scenes from Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, with fireplaces, stockings, and antique toys, each house different. The houses open for viewing on the first three Saturdays in December, when Santa visits and a DJ provides music. Local businesses and community volunteers run it; the setup is ADA and stroller accessible and weather dependent.
Our take: Go on one of the first three Saturdays, when the houses are open and Santa is in Ricalton Square, and leave time to peer into each house.
