About this event
The Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes debuted in 1933, a year after the dance company settled into Radio City Music Hall. The troupe began in St. Louis in 1925 as the Missouri Rockets before theater owner S.L. "Roxy" Rothafel and choreographer Russell Markert brought it to New York. The show was reimagined for its 75th anniversary in 2008 with new costumes and numbers, including fan favorite "New York at Christmas," which puts a real double-decker bus on stage. The Rockettes also helped save the hall from closure in the late 1970s, when it won landmark status.
Our take: Download your digital tickets to your phone before heading to the theater, since they have to be shown on a smartphone at the door.
