About this event
New York City Ballet's George Balanchine's The Nutcracker follows young Marie through mischievous mice, swirling snow and glittering confections from around the world, set to Tschaikovsky's score. It is one of the company's most complex productions: more than 150 dancers and musicians, 40 stagehands and over 120 children from the School of American Ballet in two alternating casts take part. Karinska's costumes and Rouben Ter-Arutunian's sets, including a Christmas tree that rises before the audience's eyes, have made it a quintessential New York holiday tradition.
Our take: For a splurge, Sweet Seats bundles pair premium center seating with a souvenir book and a sweet treat.
