About this event
The Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green grew from a single lit star atop a tree on the Green in 1913 into one of the town's longest-standing traditions. Presented by the Morristown Partnership, it keeps the historic park busy on weekends leading up to Christmas under thousands of lights and lamppost wreaths. Past festivals have featured a Santa House for wish lists and photos, holiday music and crafts, vintage-style oversized rocking horses and rides around the Green on a miniature electric train.
Our take: Visit on a December weekend after opening night to enjoy the Green at a more relaxed pace.
Good to know
Opening night Nov 29, 5–8 p.m.; then family activities and Santa visits Fridays–Sundays in December through Dec 20. Activities are free; photos with Santa $15.
