About this event

The Columbus County Agriculture Fair sets up at the fairgrounds in Whiteville with outdoor entertainment that includes shows, carnival rides, a demolition derby, competitive exhibits, and agricultural shows. The Tiger Encounter Show is on the bill, and the Zeus is the headline carnival ride. Food is pitched as its own reason to come, running from sweets to something salty. A parade and animal shows sit on the schedule beside the midway, so the week is more than the rides.

Our take: Pair the Tiger Encounter with fair food, and pick a derby night if you want the loud half of the week.

Good to know

Demolition derby is set for 7 p.m. on two nights.
