About this event
Hollerin Haunts Hayride sits at 2914 Bud Johnson Road in Clinton, about four miles from Spivey's Corner, and calls itself North Carolina's scariest haunted event. It is built as a destination rather than one house: a famous hayride plus four other haunted attractions, five in all, with a Monster Midway of food, games, and a merch shop. The Mad House lines guests up as test subjects for mad scientists. Actors will not touch guests, though a costume, prop, or set piece can brush close. A Blackout night runs with no lights. Food vendors and midway games make a full evening possible. Parents should weigh the strobes, fog, and loud effects before sending younger children through.
Our take: Save the no-lights Blackout night if you want the darkest version, and leave time for the midway after the five attractions.
Good to know
All ages welcome at parent discretion. Actors will not touch guests.
