About this event
The Fayetteville Turkey Trot starts from Treetop Drive by the Jordan Soccer Complex and follows the Cape Fear River Trail, with a chip-timed 5K and a 1-mile run/walk. It's billed as one of the fastest-growing holiday traditions in North Carolina, and every registered runner gets a custom shirt, a finisher medal, free race photos and live results, with a costume contest and a team competition on the side. United Way of Cumberland County is the nonprofit partner, and runners can direct part of their entry fee to it.
Parking
Free on Thanksgiving morning at the Cape Fear River Trail parking lot, 498 Treetop Drive, which also has handicapped parking.
Good to know
1 mile 8:30am; 5K 9am. Late starters can't be accommodated.
