About this event
The Gentex Grand Rapids Santa Parade brings more than 50 festive entries through downtown Grand Rapids for families from across West Michigan. Santa rides in from the North Pole and arrives at Rosa Parks Circle in time to join the City of Grand Rapids for its tree lighting ceremony. Kids can write letters at a station that sends them to the North Pole by USPS, and family activities continue downtown after the lighting.
Our take: Keep the day going at the Grand Rapids Christkindl Markt at the Downtown Market, where a mug of glühwein thaws out parade-watchers.
Good to know
Parade 5pm; tree lighting 6:45pm
