About this event
The Boston Book Festival brings more than 80 free events and over 200 authors to Copley Square and venues around the city, with author talks, presentations, book-focused activities and an outdoor fair. Keynote speakers include classicist Emily Wilson, the first woman to translate Homer's The Odyssey into English, plus Edwidge Danticat, Imbolo Mbue, Renée Watson, Tess Gerritsen, Walter Mosley and architect Michael P. Murphy. Programming spans current events, food, memoir, romance, poetry, picture books, gothic horror and more, and organizers expect around 25,000 readers.
