About this event
The Washington Parish Fair sets up at 100 Main Street in Franklinton, opening on the third Wednesday in October. Grounds buildings run from the Armory, Homemaker's Building, Flower Building, and Agriculture Building to Creative Crafts, the Country Market, a 4-H Building, Fine Arts, and a livestock building. Attractions include a fair 5K, a parade, Hometown Throwdown, a midway, Mile Branch Settlement, Old McDonald's Farm, a playground, a rodeo, and the Fair Train. Food booths include New Orleans Style Seafood, Mandeville Seafood, Kat Daddy's, Sweet Daddy's BBQ, Big Cheese, and The Lake House.
Our take: Start at the food booths if seafood or barbecue is the draw, then walk toward Mile Branch Settlement, the rodeo arena, and the Fair Train.
