About this event

The Louisiana Renaissance Festival builds the English village of Albright each autumn on the faire grounds at 46468 River Road in Hammond, aiming to recreate Renaissance-era atmosphere from the 14th to the 17th century, with emphasis on the 16th. More than 600 artisans, entertainers, and educational demonstrations fill the site, alongside pubs such as Broken Lance, Compass Rose, Frosted Chalice, Tudor Tavern, and The Bon Temps, plus a glassblower, a blacksmith, and a joust arena. Themed weekends include Fae and Fantasy, Pirate, Celtic, Lore and Legends, Viking, and Yuletide and Fireworks. The faire runs rain or shine. Food and libations, tastings, shopping, and stage acts are part of the grounds.

Our take: Match your visit to a themed weekend if you care about pirates, Vikings, or the Yuletide fireworks closer, and eat at one of the named pubs between stage sets.

Good to know

Rain or shine, 8:45 am-5:00 pm; open selected November and December weekends.
