About this event

The Hammond Farmers & Artisans Market gathers local farmers, producers and artisans under the Downtown Pavilion on Railroad Avenue every Saturday morning, rain or shine. Shoppers find farm-fresh produce, plants and flowers, prepared food and grocery staples, fresh fish, meat, eggs and dairy, artisan goods and farm crafts, from vendors such as Louisiana Coastal Catch and Red Hill Bee Farm. SNAP is accepted, and on the third Saturday of each month the market takes glass, plastics, cardboard and aluminum for recycling while you shop.

Our take: If you're stocking up, a collapsible cart and your own bags make the haul back to the car easier.

Parking

All parking in Downtown Hammond is free, on the street and in seven parking malls along the railroad tracks.
