About this event
Port Barre's Cracklin Festival grew from a humble street fair into a large gathering that draws thousands of visitors. The weekend mixes a Courir de Cracklin, a parade, pageants, a cook-off, canoe races, rides and games, and food and drink, under the rallying line "Got Graton?" Cracklin is the namesake, and the cook-off and canoe races give the food a competitive edge. Start with the cook-off if eating is the goal, and stay for the Courir and the parade.
