About this event
The Plaquemines Community Development Group fills F. Edward Hebert Boulevard in Belle Chasse for an afternoon-into-evening Christmas festival built around a community parade of Jeeps and dune buggies, parish royalty, marching bands and local groups. Santa rides through the parade before settling in for photos, and the festival adds a Christmas tree lighting, a children's area, craft and food vendors, live music, Christmas movies with popcorn, a fun run and a fireworks show to finish the night.
Our take: Graze the food vendors before the parade steps off so you can hold your spot on the boulevard.
