About this event
Light Up Louisville is one of the City of Louisville's biggest events, kicking off the holiday season in Jefferson Square Park downtown. The afternoon-into-evening celebration features a video-mapping holiday show on Metro Hall, holiday shopping at the Mistletoe Market, Frosty's Food Court, live entertainment on two stages and the Lots of Lights Parade. Kids can ride the Jolly Jingle Express trackless train and get free photos with Santa and friends inside Santa's House, and a finale show closes out the night.
Our take: Stay through the Lots of Lights Parade and the finale show, which bring the evening to its peak.
