Douglass Loop Farmers Market

The Douglass Loop Farmers Market is a nonprofit outreach mission of Douglass Boulevard Christian Church, set up in the church's parking lot in Louisville's Highlands. It exists to support local farmers practicing sustainable agriculture, and the church takes nothing from it beyond operating costs. The vendor list runs long: farms such as Barr, Garey, Rootbound and Valley Spirit, herb and microgreen growers, Boone Creek Creamery, Sa Sa Samosa Kitchen, The Italian Loaf, Lexington Pasta, KY Red Hot Roasters, woodworkers and a knife-sharpening service.

Our take: Arrive at opening rather than before it, since the market asks shoppers to stay out of the circle while vendors set up.
