Kentucky Veterans Parade and Celebration

The Kentucky Veterans Parade and Celebration honors the courage and sacrifice of veterans with a day of remembrance, celebration and unity in Louisville's NuLu district, hosted with support from the NuLu Business Association. The parade runs along E. Market Street from Campbell to Hancock, and a Heroes Among Us unit recognizes veterans nominated by the community. At Touch a Tank, kids and families can get up close with military vehicles, including jeeps and a real tank, take photos and meet veterans who served in them. Immediately after the parade, each color guard can have its American flag blessed by a chaplain in the Blessing of the Colors.
