About this event
The Daley Plaza Farmers Market is Chicago's longest-running farmers market, nearly five decades old, and it fills the Daley Plaza in the Loop each Thursday. Run by the city's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, it brings regional growers such as Nichol's Farm & Orchard and Smit's Farms alongside Stamper Cheese, River Valley Ranch, Aracely's Bakery & Tamales and Zeitlin's Delicatessen, with cooking demonstrations and cultural programming.
Our take: Come at lunch for grilled cheese or quesadillas from the prepared-food stands, then grab produce on the way back to the office.
Good to know
Thursdays, 7 a.m.–2 p.m., at 50 W. Washington St. Accepts Link.
