About this event
Green City Market in Lincoln Park, at 1817 N Clark St in Chicago, gathers dozens of local, sustainable Midwest farmers and food producers, with community programs alongside the stalls. The seasonal board runs from vegetables and fruit to beef, chicken, goat, lamb, pork, and fish such as perch, trout, walleye, and whitefish, plus breads, cheeses, honey, hot sauce, and ready-to-eat donuts, sandwiches, and pies. Link benefits, also called SNAP or EBT, are tripled up to a set match. CTA buses 22 Clark, 36 Broadway, 73 Armitage, and 151 Sheridan stop in front, and the nearest trains are Sedgwick on the Brown Line and Clark/Division on the Red Line. Chefs can ask for a market tour through the Chef Connection program.
Our take: Take the Clark, Broadway, Armitage, or Sheridan bus if you want to skip the Stockton Drive garage.
Parking
Discounted parking with validation in the Chicago Historical Museum lot off Stockton Drive; validation cards at market entrances. Chef priority parking along Stockton Drive.
