About this event

The Christmas in Meridian Winter Lights Parade and Tree Lighting, is the city's night of lighted floats, hot cocoa stands, and pre-parade entertainment. Local radio hosts join the mayor on the main stage, share the parade entries, and help Santa light the City Christmas Tree. The stage is at Idaho and Main, across from the tree in Generations Plaza. Watch parties line the downtown route along Main Street.

Our take: Watch from Generations Plaza if you want the tree lighting and the stage hosts, and skip the Meridian Road exit off I-84 once closures start.

Parking

Expect delays from I-84 onto Meridian Road north. Main Street closed from the split corridor to E. Carlton for the parade route; N. Main from E. Idaho closed for the stage. Franklin stays open until just before the parade. Business access remains on N. Main from Fairview to Washington.
