About this event
The KNOX Farmer's Market at 75 Laurel Street in Hartford is the link between KNOX's Urban Farming Program and the neighborhood. Shoppers are invited to support urban farmers as they build their businesses and to pick up fresh, locally grown produce. KNOX, a nonprofit, also runs 21 community gardens, trains apprentices, teaches an environmental curriculum to more than 1,000 Hartford students, and plants trees across the city.
Our take: Treat it as a produce stop tied to the urban farming program, and ask vendors about the gardens if you want the story behind the food.
