About this event

Connecticut's Old State House Farmers Market is one of the original open-air markets in Connecticut. It fills the brick plaza on the Main Street side of the Old State House at 800 Main Street in downtown Hartford, with Connecticut Grown farmers, crafters, and lively music. The aim is a wide mix of products so farmers and artisans can meet the community. SNAP purchases are doubled all season, and WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits are doubled as well, with funding from Greater Hartford Gives. In summer, Fridays bring an outdoor concert with a different local band. Inside, the building holds restored Senate and House chambers and the Museum of Curiosities. The site is managed in partnership by the Connecticut General Assembly and the Connecticut Democracy Center.

Our take: Go on a summer Friday if you want the outdoor concert with the market, then step inside for the Museum of Curiosities.

Parking
