About this event
Light the Lights is CityCenter Danbury's annual winter festival with the City of Danbury, turning downtown into a winter wonderland around the 40-foot holiday tree on the Green. The mayor lights up downtown, Santa arrives by fire truck, and the evening's highlight is the fire truck parade. Visitors can shop from holiday vendors and enjoy holiday music and live entertainment at the free event.
Our take: Warm up with hot chocolate, cookies and soup served by the Salvation Army.
Parking
Street meters run Monday–Saturday 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and surface-lot meters 8 a.m.–8 p.m., $0.25 per 10 minutes; free on Sundays.
