About this event

Wooster Square, at 511 Chapel Street, is one of Connecticut's largest urban markets. The market is producer-only, so what is sold was grown or made by the vendor, and the mix shifts with the Connecticut season: farms, bakeries such as Downright Breads and Olmo Sono Baking Co., cheese and meat, and prepared foods including Sanctuary Kitchen and Momma Kiss Kitchen Cuisine. Winter dates move indoors, and the rest of the season is outdoors. SNAP and Connecticut FMNP benefits are accepted and doubled on produce, and the information tent handles SNAP tokens, merchandise, and the Friends of the Market loyalty program. Vendors often sell out before the end.

Our take: Arrive early, because vendors often sell out before the market ends.

Good to know

Closed November 28 and December 26. Winter market is indoors.
