About this event
Historic Georgetown, Inc. has staged the Georgetown Christmas Market for more than six decades, turning a 19th-century Victorian mountain town into a Charles Dickens-style holiday market. Three outdoor European-style marketplaces hold more than 30 artisans, Victorian street carolers stroll 6th Street, and the Santa Lucia Children's Procession, escorted by Saint Nicholas, is a daily highlight on the Rose & 6th Streets stage. Visitors can ride a horse-drawn wagon through the Victorian neighborhoods, tour museums decked in holiday finery and book Christmas afternoon tea in the historic Snetzer Building.
Our take: Warm up with hot chestnuts in Strousse Park and a mug of wassail before the daily Santa Lucia procession.
