About this event

Anderson Farms in Erie has been in the Anderson family since 1958, when they acquired it in a trade for land the state took from their farm about nine miles north to build I-25. The farm grows wheat, barley, hay, corn and pumpkins, and in 1997 Jim Anderson first opened it to the public. Its fall festival brings a corn maze, pumpkin patch and dozens of attractions.

Our take: Lightning within 10 miles clears the fields for at least 30 minutes, which can cut a stormy afternoon short.

Good to know

Last entry 6:30 p.m. Fields close for 30 minutes after lightning within 10 miles.
