Lightscape at San Francisco Botanical Garden

Lightscape turns San Francisco Botanical Garden, 55 acres of gardens with more than 8,000 kinds of plants from around the world, into a mile-long after-dark trail of about 1 million lights, with lighted sculptures, water features, color and sound, refreshed with new art for the winter run. Plan on at least 45 minutes on the trail, dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes, since the ground can be uneven. Food and drink are sold through the evening, and the Inner Sunset's restaurants are steps outside the gate. Muni's 5, 7, 43 and 44 buses and the N-Judah serve the garden.
