About this event
Tinsel Trail, a tradition started by Downtown Huntsville, Inc., turns Big Spring Park into a walk-through forest of more than 450 live Christmas trees, each decorated by a local business, nonprofit or family. Opening night brings the lighting of Downtown Huntsville's Rocket City Tree, a market of local vendors and food trucks, live performances from the Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre and other local talent, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Through the season the park adds coffee pop-ups, live music and the Tinsel Trail Trot.
Our take: On opening night, come in the afternoon to shop the market and grab food truck fare before the tree lighting.
