About this event
Guntersville Civitan Park on Sunset Drive hosts the Pink Pumpkin Run, a 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run on Halloween morning. The Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers puts on the morning to support mammography and cancer services, especially the Mammography Assistance Program for women who cannot afford a screening. Music, kids' activities, photo stops, and a Pink Pancake Brunch fill out the park. Costumes are encouraged, the more creative the better, as long as they stay family-friendly, and team costumes are a regular hit.
Our take: Wear a family-friendly costume, walk or run the 5K or the mile, and stay for the Pink Pancake Brunch.
Good to know
The 5K is at 9:00 a.m., the 1 Mile Fun Run at 10:00 a.m., and awards at 11:00 a.m.
