Boo at the Zoo at Oglebay Good Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is the family Halloween at Oglebay Good Zoo in Wheeling, built for families rather than scares. Trick-or-treat stations, costumed characters, decorated walking paths, and a spooky train ride share the grounds with the animal habitats. The train winds through the zoo, passes the Jumbo Jumper, and boards near Treat Station 6 at the Red Barn. Children ages 3 to 12 get a treat bag. The zoo sits inside Oglebay Park Resort, about an hour from Pittsburgh.

Our take: Go earlier on Saturday or Sunday if you want animals plus trick-or-treat stations, and board the train near the Red Barn before last entry.
