About this event
Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce brings the Vermont Apple Festival and Craft Show to Riverside Middle School at 13 Fairground Rd, a rain-or-shine mix of crafts, handmade goods, a farmers' market, and a beer and wine garden. Apple cider, apple crisp, and cider doughnuts share the grounds with an apple pie contest and the Fastest Kid in Town Race. Food trucks stretch from 802 Soul Foods fried chicken, ribs, and mac and cheese to Vernon Creamie's burgers, handcut fries, and soft-serve. Kids can find a bounce house, a mechanical bull, and cider pressing, while Southern Vermont Astronomy sets up solar viewing.
Our take: Start with cider doughnuts and the apple pie contest, then work the gym craft booths before you commit to a food-truck plate.
Good to know
Rain or shine.
