About this event
Hathaway Farm in Rutland centers its fall on a family corn maze. The 13-acre maze has clues, bridges, punches, a grassy knoll early exit, and GPS mapping. A mini maze follows a story walk. The play area includes ride-on pig races for kids and adults under 200 pounds, a giant corn pit, duck races, and steer-head roping. Wagon train rides on a 100-foot string of carts are included with day admission. The livestock barn holds Flossie the Hereford, goats, donkeys, sheep, bunnies, chickens, and sometimes Tex the horse. Weekend Snack Shack food includes farm beef burgers and mini donuts with maple dip. Maple syrup has been made here since 1942.
Our take: Go on a weekend if you want the Snack Shack, and buy Flashlight Night tickets before 9pm the Friday before you plan to come.
Good to know
Flashlight Nights on Saturday nights from September 5 through October 31, except October 24. Snack Shack weekends, Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Pig races under 200 pounds. Day admission includes wagon rides.
