Gaines Farm Corn Maze

Gaines Farm is a bicentennial farm in Guilford, Vermont, just north of the Massachusetts line, held by the same family on the same ground. The family farms 200 acres of crop land, pasture, maple sugar bush, and woods, and each autumn cuts a corn maze through 7 acres of ten-foot stalks. Entrance covers a long list of games plus the maze itself, which is seeded with clues so even lost visitors can finish. Corn cannon shots, supervised, win a prize if a kernel goes through a tractor tire. The stand sells what the farm calls corn maze food, carnival fare meant to fuel the rest of the visit.

Our take: Do the daytime maze and corn bin first, and keep the haunted hayride for a separate night if you want scares.
