About this event
The Richmond Folk Festival bills itself as one of Virginia's largest events, a three-day gathering on downtown Richmond's historic riverfront. It began as the National Council for the Traditional Arts' National Folk Festival, held in Richmond from 2005 to 2007, and now puts performing groups from a wide range of cultural traditions on six stages, with a Virginia Folklife Area beside the music.
Our take: Use the riverfront layout to hop six stages, and stop in the Virginia Folklife Area between sets.
