About this event
OystoberFest is held at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in Historic Ginter Park, 3602 Hawthorne Avenue in Richmond. Oysters are the center of the menu, sold by the dozen or half dozen and served raw, steamed, or fried, with an oyster po' boy, bratwurst, hot dogs, french fries, hush puppies, and baked goods alongside. Beer, hard seltzer, and wine are poured, and a kids' zone runs all day. A bike valet, part of the Virginia Green commitment, parks bikes in a fenced area.
Our take: Order a dozen to split three ways, raw, steamed, and fried, then round it out with hush puppies.
