About this event
The McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market meets on Wednesday mornings outside Sherwood Library on Sherwood Hall Lane, south of Alexandria. It is one of the county-run markets that opens early in spring, with local growers and food producers selling produce, meats, baked goods and specialty foods, and it runs until Thanksgiving week.
Our take: It keeps going right up to Thanksgiving week, which makes it a handy stop for holiday produce and baked goods.
