About this event

The Williamson County Fair and Rodeo at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail in Taylor, bills itself as a gathering that celebrates community and brings generations together. Grounds attractions include live music, a carnival, an UPRA rodeo, a junior rodeo, pig races, a petting zoo, Agventure Land, a stick horse parade, and a children's entrepreneur market. Other contests take in a scarecrow contest, a barbecue cookoff, a fair queen contest, a car show, and mutton bustin, plus a beer and wine garden.

Our take: Use Saturday if you want the grounds from the 10 a.m. open through the late close, with time for the rodeo and the pig races.
