About this event
Produced by Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives, the GM Financial Parade of Lights winds through downtown Fort Worth from Weatherford and Throckmorton streets along Commerce, 9th and Houston streets, with a new theme and grand marshal each year. The current theme is A Legacy in Lights, and parade entries compete for awards announced after the show.
Our take: Take TEXRail in from the North Side or Fort Worth T&P station, where parking is free at most stations, and skip the downtown street closures.
Parking
Some downtown garages are free and many low-cost lots are available; downtown streets start closing early on parade day.
Good to know
Free to watch along the route; reserved Street Seats are sold for a guaranteed view.
