Starry Nights

Starry Nights, Shelby Farms Park's drive-through holiday light show, is now produced by World of Illumination, which Forbes recognized as the best drive-through holiday light show in the US. Its current show, Arctic Adventure, follows Beti the Yeti through a glittering frozen world of millions of lights and more than 500 animated displays, with music synchronized to the show, all seen from your car. The theme changes every year, and the 4,500-acre park, one of the largest urban parks in the country, adds Afterglow, a walkable area with lights, food, drinks and holiday activities, on select nights.

Our take: Check which nights Afterglow is open, so you can park after the drive and stretch your legs with food and drinks.
