About this event

The AutoZone Liberty Bowl is the seventh-oldest college bowl game, played at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. It was founded in Philadelphia in 1959, when Penn State met Alabama in the first game, and it bills itself as one of the most patriotic bowls in America. The winner takes home a trophy cast by Schulmerich Bells: a one-quarter-size replica of the Liberty Bell, down to its nicked edges and foundry marks. Players and coaches from both teams visit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during their stay.

Our take: Tailgaters should look at Tiger Lane parking: each space comes with an adjacent grass area with an electrical hookup, reached via Access 8 or 9 off East Parkway South.

Parking

Tiger Lane spaces (Access 8 or 9 off East Parkway South) include a grass tailgate area with electricity; the main ADA lot is Lot 7, via Access 4 off South Hollywood. Rideshare drop-off is at Tiger Lane and East Parkway.
