About this event

Tour de Lights is a free, family-friendly holiday bike ride and celebration presented by Visit Knoxville and Bike Walk Knoxville, starting and ending at Covenant Health Park. The afternoon opens with carolers, holiday music, firepits, marshmallow roasting, children's activities, a mailbox for letters to Santa and a costume contest. At dusk, riders decked out in lights roll out on a casual, roughly five-mile group ride through the Old City, Historic Fourth and Gill and downtown Knoxville, while live holiday music plays back at the park.

Our take: Decorate your bike and enter the costume contest, then stay for the separate Smokies Winter Wonderland Light Show at the ballpark.

Parking

Public parking is in downtown garages, lots and on streets; a free bike valet opens at 3:30 p.m.

Good to know

Free; ride registration required. Festivities 3:30–7:30 p.m.; the ride starts at 6 p.m.
